Sage Summit 2012 Opry Event Night – best of the Twitter Pics
There were plenty of pictures sent out on Twitter last night under the hashtag #SageSummit. These photos were primarily of the Sage North America Grand Ole Opry Event featuring Trace Adkins, Montgomery Gentry, Diamond Rio, and Jake Owen.
It’s not easy to get good pictures in a darkened theater. Here is a compilation of the clearest pictures publicly tweeted during Sage’s Grand Ole Opry event night 8/15/12.

This week I’m at the Sage North America annual customer and partner conference. This educational event brings together over 4,000 customer and partners for five days of technical briefings and educational settings.
The next version of Sage 100 ERP was previously referred to as version 5.0 and will instead be known to as version 2013.
Expect the release schedule (tentative and subject to change) as follows:
Tasks launched from CRM don’t use a ERP license – expect there may be a “millisecond” where a license is confirmed and released. Most SageCRM integrated to Sage 100 ERP users will no longer have to purchase additional Sage 100 ERP licenses for salespeople (Note: SageCRM licenses are still required).
Accounts Payable invoice number expanded from 10 to 20
Accounts Receivable customers and Accounts Payable vendors may now be made inactive. A new security role has been added to indicate whether a user should be able to override and use these inactive records to specific tasks such as cash receipts.
Paperless Office now allows for use of smtp email accounts such as Gmail which require SSL login.
Accounts Payable now includes a cleared date in the data file layout (Note: ONLY AP Checks) – this is viewed on multiple AP checks
Credit Card processing (integrated) will be replaced by Sage Exchange. This will require all existing credit card data to be uploaded to the Sage vault and removed from Sage Accounts Receivable. No credit card data will be stored within Sage 100 ERP. The only credit card processor supported by Sage 100 ERP 2013 is Sage Payments.
New Sage Exchange integration supports credit card swipers (use of which may qualify you for lower processing rates)
Sage 100 ERP Premium (Formerly Sage ERP MAS 200 SQL) will use the Sage HMRS Payroll
Pricing –
50 employees = 1,750
75 employees = 2,500
100 employees = 3,150
150 employees = 4.700
200 employees = 5,550
These are a small listing of the enhancement expected to be in Sage 100 ERP 2013. Remember that features can change prior to the official release date.

Here’s a quick power tip for Sage users who want a quick look at the latest documents posted on the Sage website.
If you’re looking for a faster way to uncover public documents listed in Google (this won’t work for documents hidden behind a “gated” Sage login ).
Using a special format for Google search you can view all the latest indexed pages from the North American Sage website – na.sage.com. You can quickly slice and dice this data so you only view updates from the last hour, 24 hours, past week, past month or a custom range.
This search can further be narrowed to search only for pages with PDF or other file types (helpful for finding new whitepapers).
For even more powerful search capabilities — use Google Advanced Search (http://www.google.com/advanced_Search )

I’m happy to make available a special connection to a Sage 100 shared knowledgebase that we are growing within Evernote.
Evernote is a multi-platform (both desktop and mobile) software solution which allows for taking notes that are synchronized and shared with other users. These notes may be text only or they can include images and PDF and other types of document files. As part of the organizing process Evernote indexes all files and allows for you to search inside of them.
Because Evernote works so well across multiple platforms we’ve decided to adopt it for keeping track of shared knowledge articles.
During the Sage 100 ERP upgrade or support process we are constantly adding knowledge articles that explain the way that a particular issue was resolved. As of now we have 90 articles and expect that we’ll triple that number by year end.
Read up on the use of Evernote – here – take a quick peek at a sample of a few support articles here – and if you are a subscriber to our Schulz Consulting Access Agreement – simply send your email address to wayne@s-consult.com and we’ll share a link to our full Evernote Sage 100 ERP Knowledgebase.
