Sage Legacy Knowledgebase – Down For The Count?

March 4, 2013 by Wayne Schulz

sage knowledgebase

It’s looking as if Sage’s former knowledgebase  (Serviceware)- which was replaced by their new customer and partner portal (Codename Atlas which is driven underneath by SAP) has gone off-line. Perhaps for good.

The former Serviceware driven knowledgebase had continued to informally be made available for quick Sage technical lookups via a web link which did not require a login. Sadly while this link is still live and you can query for technical issues – clicking on any of the results produces the “500 – Internal server error.” message depicted above.

This means future Sage knowledgebase inquiries need to go through the new SAP based Atlas portal which requires a user code and login for most content.

Expect an updated knowledgebase system from Sage  in the near term when Sage will switch their knowledgebase from SAP  to yet another Knowledge Management Solution, migrating away from SAP to a solution from Aptean (Knova,who also ironically acquired ServiceWare).

Sage Login Page – Fast Access To Customer, Partner and Product Portals

September 26, 2012 by Wayne Schulz

Looking for the URL to login to Sage’s customer or partner portals? Remembering the full URL isn’t too difficult.

Customers = https://customers.sagenorthamerica.com
Partners = https://partners.sagenorthamerica.com

However if you want a simplified single page that shows the logins to the various portals – try this page which Sage created to consolidate some of the login information:

Sage Partner and Customer Portal Goes Live

February 28, 2012 by Wayne Schulz

You will soon (or may have already) receive notice from Sage about their new customer portal.

Sage is combining most of their their product support offerings under one common portal. This project (code named Atlas) is coming to completion with the addition of the Sage 100 ERP (formerly Sage ERP MAS 90 and 200) product group.

While the portal site may seem a little strange at first — I’ve compiled a list of quick tips (and links) that should help you get up to speed on accessing information.

More information will be added to these tips as I learn of them. Navigate to my 90 Minds Consulting Group for the details.

Sage Upgrading Internal Customer and Partner Portal Starting Now

February 24, 2012 by Wayne Schulz

Starting February 23, 2012 and extending through February 27, 2012 Sage will be upgrading their internal computer systems to a new portal code named Atlas.

This upgrade is designed to bring together different databases within Sage and ultimately make the process of searching for and locating data easier – especially as more customers use multiple Sage products.

Expect some delays and changes as this changeover progresses. New customer numbers may be issued in the coming days. Watch for email from Sage explaining the process of registering with your new customer number and accessing Atlas.

The notice posted on the Sage site explains this initial change over (customers on other product lines such as Accpac have already undergone this change):

Introducing the New Sage Partner and Customer Portals!

On February 27, 2012, Sage will be implementing a new internal business management system (also known as “Atlas”) that will unify your experience with Sage and allow you to access most information from a centralized location.

After February 23, 2012, all content on this site will become static, and no support cases may be entered. Starting on February 27, you will need to use two new Sage information portals. Partners will access a new Sage Partner information portal, and customers will access a new Sage Customer information portal, both to go live on or about February 27, 2012. (If you have questions while using these portals, you can call 800-253-1372, option 3.) More information about these two portals to come.
