Sage Updates Sage 100 Supported Platforms Matrix for 2019

Sage just updated their supported platforms matrix for the following Sage 100 and Sage 100cloud versions.

2016
2017
2018
2019

The Supported Platforms Matrix, also referred to as the SPM, outlines the network operating systems and the minimum configurations of memory and processors required for Sage 100 usage.

The SPM is updated at least annually and can be downloaded directly from the Sage site here.

Important Reminders: Windows 7 Extended Support from Microsoft ends on January 14, 2020. Windows 7 will no longer be supported by Sage after January 14, 2020.

Windows Server 2008 R2 Extended Support from Microsoft ends on January 14, 2020. Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Small Business Server 2011 will no longer be supported by Sage after January 14, 2020.

Here Are The Supported Server and Workstations For Sage 100 2018

Sage just updated their Supported Platform Matrix to include their latest Sage 100 2018 release.

There is only one change that we were able to spot so far:

Supported Workstations:

Windows 8.0 (32 and 64-bit) is no longer supported for Sage 100 2018

Supported Servers:

No changes noted

Sage provides a PDF download for each version of their Sage 100 supported versions (Standard, Advanced, Premium). These PDF files outline the acceptable hardware, operating systems, and memory required for the proper operation of Sage 100.

Please note, there are some configurations such as Windows XP on the desktop and Windows Server 2008 which not work with Sage 100. During the installation, if you are attempting to install to an unsupported version the install routine will stop and not allow you to continue.

We recommend you review all system requirements far in advance of the date of your Sage 100 installation or upgrade.

Sage Updates List of Supported Workstation and Network Operating System Configurations for Sage 100 v2017 and v2016

Sage released an updated Supported Platform Matrix for their Sage 100 versions 2017 and 2016. These documents outline the supported workstation and network operating system configurations officially supported by Sage.

There has been no updated document for versions prior to 2016 which confirms my belief that Sage is now effectively supporting the current and one prior version through active product updates and critical support documents such as the Supported Platform Matrix (SPM).

Sage Supported Platform Matrix is broken into these sections:

Supported Workstations for Sage 100 and Sage 100c
Supported Servers for Sage 100 and Sage 100c
SageCRM Supported Servers
Remote Desktop Services/Citrix Supported Servers

Sage have recently revamped their product support knowledgebase for Sage 100. As part of this update it is now possible to access many support articles about Sage without logging into their online portal.

For example, Sage 100 Supported Platform Matrix, are available for Sage 100 versions:

Sage ERP MAS 200 4.50
Sage ERP MAS 90 4.50
Sage ERP MAS 200 SQL 4.50
Sage 100 2013 – Standard, Advanced, Premium
Sage 100 2014 – Standard, Advanced, Premium
Sage 100 2015 – Standard, Advanced, Premium
Sage 100 2016 – Standard, Advanced, Premium

The Supported Platform Matrix is important because it defines exactly what hardware and operating systems Sage will guarantee that Sage 100 operates under. Platforms not shown on the Supported Platform Matrix may still work, but Sage may not provide support for the outdated configuration.
