Sage 100 2021 Product Update 2 Available Now

Sage just released the second product update for their current Sage 100 version 2021.

Sage 100 v2021 Product Update 2 includes the following notable updates:

  • New DBA name and address field for form 1099
  • Password fields are available when unified login is enabled to support access through third-party ODBC applications
  • Updates for 1099 form reporting for 2021
    • 1099-MISC Box 11 : Fish Purchased for resale
    • 1099-DIV Box 2e: Section 897 Ordinary Dividends
    • 1099-DIV Box 2f: Section 897 Capital Gain
  • Positive Pay export now zero-fills check numbers up to 10 characters
  • Speed issues resolved with autocomplete
  • Speed issues resolved with form load time

Prior to installing any product updates please confer with your Sage partner. If you have third-party integrations you may need to upgrade those integrations in order for them to remain compatible with the latest product update.

The next release of Sage 100 product updates will likely be during the last month of 2021. Sage is presently only releasing product updates for versions 2020 and 2021.

Sage 100 version 2022 is slated for release during March or April of 2022.

Sage 100cloud 2020 Product Update 1 Due on or about September 17, 2020

Many user won’t install the initial release of an ERP system and instead wait for the product’s first update.

Sage 100cloud 2020 was released in March 2020 and Sage has just verified that the first product update is set for September 17, 2020.

The product update release typically includes all known bug fixes. In some cases Sage will also include a new feature or two.

During last week’s STAC conference, Sage gave a quick peek at some new features set to make an appearance in the September 2020 product update.

According to the slide above, Sage is set to include at least three new features in Sage 100cloud 2020 product update 1.

  • Payments’ tab for invoice history inquiry
  • Net balance button for AP Invoice Data Entry
  • Visual Integrator Enhancements

Once released you will be able to find details about what is included in the Sage product update at the Sage 100 documentation site.

Sage release dates as well a expected new features or fixes are tentative and subject to change.

Sage 100 2018 Product Update 4 Available for Download

Sage has just released the latest product update 4 for their Sage 100 accounting product.

Before installing the update be certain to check with your Sage partner. If you are using any 3rd party enhancements you also should verify (and in many cases reinstall them) compatibility.

Product updates are self-installable bundles of fixes. These updates often contain new features which have been added between the major update releases (Sage 100 2019 ETA March 2019).

Sage 100 2018.4 is available for both Sage 100 and Sage 100cloud users.

New to this release:

  • Credit card EMV chip support
  • Processing payment cards with EMV chips through Paya (formerly Sage Payment
    Solutions) is supported when using the following card readers:
    • Ingenico ipp320
    • Equinox L5300
  • Consolidate multiple sales orders onto one invoice inside Shipping Data Entry
  • Sage University videos accessed from within Sage 100

Notable fixes include: 

  • Paperless Office: The same e-mail subject header text is no longer received by multiple recipients of Paperless Office Electronic Delivery Emails
  • When sending Paperless Office emails from a Terminal Server or Citrix session emails no longer contain the incorrect PDF

Beginning with Payroll 2.0 for Sage 100 2018 the payroll updates are installed separately. The latest payroll release 2.18.4 was also released and users can download that update from here.

Sage 100 2016 Product Update 4 Download Now Available

Sage have released their fourth product update – 2016.4 – for Sage 100 and Sage 100c version 2016.

As always, check with your Sage partner prior to installing any product updates. The product update is cumulative and contains all fixes released in the prior 3 updates for Sage 100 v2016 as well as changes incorporated into product update 4.

Sage 100 2017 Product Update 1 Download Now Available

Sage have just made product update 1 for Sage 100 and Sage 100c version2017 available. Many users wait to install new releases until the first product fix has been released. With this update, we expect more users will now be comfortable installing Sage 100 2017.

The update applies to both Sage 100 and Sage 100c.

Notable fixes include:

Accounts Payable

The 1099 Electronic Consent Signed is required message no longer occurs when selecting Accept after a change to Vendor Maintenance. Issue only occurred after migrating and converting data from 4.50 or earlier.

General Ledger

The debit amount no longer displays under the Beginning Balance column when the General Ledger Detail Report is printed in the condensed format. The debit amount now correctly displays under the Debit column heading.

Library Master

Error: “Sage 100 has stopped working” no longer occurs when remote desktop user logs into Sage 100c 2016 using “Standard” desktop view in Terminal Services.

Classic theme launcher no longer hangs when user receiving broadcast message tries to access launcher tasks prior to clicking the ‘OK’ button at the broadcast message. The Classic launcher is now locked until the user clicks ‘OK’.
