Sage 100 version 2021 for the first time is available in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. The difference between the versions is largely for compatibility with applications that might integrate to Sage 100 and require 64-bit technology.
There does not at this time appear to be much reason to install the 64-bit version and I expect most users wil upgrade to the 32-bit release. And it’s worth noting that you cannot install both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions on the same computer. Sage offers a conversion utility for version 2021 users who may need to switch to ( or from ) the 64-bit Sage 100 version.
However, it bears note that should you decide to install the 64-bit version of Sage 100 that you review the 2021 Integrated Solutions Compatibility Matrices ( ISCM ) .
The latest ISCM for Sage 100 2021 notes that Sage Intelligence reporting does not support the 64-bit version of Sage 100 although it does support either 32-bit or 64-bit versions of Microsoft Excel ( desktop only ).

As of May 2021 Sage 100 versions 2019, 2020 and 2021 are officially supported by Sage.
