In most cases, you may upgrade directly to the latest release of Sage 100 without installing interim versions. Please consult with your Sage partner to see if this applies to your specific situation. In some instances, such as when coming from very old releases, you may be advised to make an interim upgrade prior to upgrading fully to the latest Sage 100 release.
Both Sage 100 and Sage 100cloud are functionally equivalent. The primary difference for Sage 100cloud is that it’s sold on a subscription basis which makes it cheaper to purchase initially and easier to add or remove users (30 days notice required). Consult our post on the differences between Sage 100 and Sage 100cloud for more detailed information.
Sage 100cloud also does not require any additional payment to use the Advanced (Client Server) or SQL (Premium) versions.
