In some cases you may notice that shortly after installing Sage 100 to a workstation that you see a constant warning each time you click to open another menu within Sage.
The warning generally will be “Open File – Security Warning”.
And while you can click to close and ignore the error – it can get tiring having to close so many windows. Here’s one way that I’ve found to fix the issue:
First, be sure you have a backup of all relevant system files. We are not responsible for changes made to your operating system:
- Click Windows Start. Click Run. Type gpedit.msc and press ENTER.
- Expand Local Computer Policy, User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Windows Components, and Attachment Manager.
- Right-click Default risk level for file attachments. Click Properties.
- Click Enabled.
- Right-click Inclusion list for low file types. Click Properties.
- Click Enabled.
- In the Specify low risk inclusions field, type pvxwin32.exe.
- Click OK.
This information relates to Sage 100 ERP (formerly Sage ERP MAS 90 and MAS 200) and should work for all versions of Sage 100 – including Standard, Advanced and Premium.
