Sage 100 & CRM – May 2023 Update

May 22, 2023 by Wayne Schulz Leave a Comment

Dan Cousins, owner of MY CRM Manager, recently shared this list of what’s new in the world of CRM integrations to Sage 100. Dan works primarily with Sage CRM though he also provides services for the GUMU integration from Greytrix, which synchronizes Salesforce to Sage 100, Sage 300, Sage Intacct, and Sage X3.

Here’s Dan’s update:

In advance of Summit, I have two items we are currently working on that I wanted to share with you:

  1. A new user interface for Sage CRM. This stems from Sage making drastic changes to the UI with their Sage CRM v2023 release. Here is a 2-minute overview video that covers:
    • The historical interface for Sage CRM.
    • The v2023 interface.
    • Our new ‘Newport’ theme for Sage CRM.
  2. Salesforce to Sage integrations: Because of our success in working with Greytrix on their GUMU™ Sage 100 CRM integration, our responsibilities to Greytrix have been expanded to include representing their Salesforce to Sage integrations.
  1. The GUMU™ Salesforce to Sage 100 is already the top-selling Sage 100 integration on Salesforce’s App Exchange, with over 50 reviews and a 5-star rating.
  2. The entire lineup of Salesforce to Sage integrations includes Sage 100, 300, Intacct, and Sage X3. To date, 100 and X3 have been the most successful.
  3. Starting with the Sage 100 integration, we now have 5-minute explainer videos for both the user experience and how the integration is configured. You can watch these explainer videos from this link.
  4. Just like for Sage CRM, we have a pricing calculator for these Salesforce to Sage integrations to make this easier.

Sage CRM 100 Edition Retired: It’s Not As Big A Deal As You May Think

November 8, 2013 by Wayne Schulz

Sage have just notified their partners that the Sage CRM 100 version of Sage CRM will be retired effective January 1, 2014.

What does this mean to most customers? According to my 90 Minds colleagues:

Here’s a copy of the notice sent today to partners:

Historically, Sage has offered a Sage CRM 100 edition and a Sage CRM 200 edition. In order to simplify our pricing, focus our R&D efforts, and deliver the most value to our customers—we are retiring the Sage 100 CRM edition.

Effective January 1, 2014, the Sage CRM 100 edition will be retired. As of this date, all sales (including new and add-on users), product updates, and technical support will be discontinued.

Free Sage CRM 200 upgrade

Customers on an active Sage Business Care plan will receive an upgrade to the full Sage CRM 200 edition at no additional charge.

Off plan customers who chose to reinstate their Sage Business Care plan by March 31, 2014, will also receive a free upgrade to the Sage CRM 200 edition.

Note: The free upgrade to Sage CRM 200 edition is only available to customers who purchased Sage CRM 100 edition prior to November 11, 2013.

Moving forward, all renewals and additional users will be based on the Sage CRM 200 edition pricing.

Please review the following communications that will be sent to Sage CRM 100 customers on November 11, 2013.

All customers have been encouraged to contact their Sage business partner prior to installing the Sage CRM 200 upgrade.

Benefits of the Sage CRM 200 edition
With the Sage CRM 200 edition, your customers will now benefit from additional features that were not part of the Sage CRM 100 edition. With these new features they will be able to:

  • Fully customize their CRM and create entities based on the customers specific needs. This also adds scalability to their CRM.
  • Take advantage of unlimited users compared to up to 30 users in the Sage CRM 100 edition.
  • Integrate with either Sage 100 ERP or Sage 300 ERP for a complete and single customercentric view, including financial and nonfinancial information. This also helps in better decision making.
  • Leverage the mobility and iPad support features to increase sales effectiveness and improve customer experience. CRM users can now access your CRM through their mobile devices or iPads.
  • Provide their CTI-enabled users with telephony functionality from their desktops through the Sage CRM interface. Users can select any hyperlinked telephone number in the system to call that number—and any incoming calls are matched with contacts in the CRM system so that they can quickly view contact details while they talk, or even before they take the call.
  • Utilize a self-service portal at no cost (a $5,000 value.)

SageCRM Training Guides For Accpac, MAS90/200, ProcessPro/SagePro

August 27, 2011 by Wayne Schulz

The question of whether SageCRM training manuals were available for users and consultants just came up in my 90 Minds consulting group. Fortunately the answer to that question is yes as my friend Peter Wolf of Azamba Consulting just pointed out:

I do sell the classes in conduction with other Sage Partners. Pricing is available on my web site and I have a bundle of a two hour training session that is included with most course guides. This session allows for about 30-45 minutes of questions and answers. One of my Azamba SageCRM senior consultants conducts the training.

Here’s a sample of the guides:
