If you are installing Sage Intelligence for Sage 100 and receive the following error:
The update server returned an error. It may be that the server is experiencing problems. Either try again later or contact support. The error was –
[[ERROR]: Authorisation Failed please check that your password is correct. ].
This is often related to the way that Sage assigned account numbers to older customers which resulted in an account number change but the Sage Intelligence serial number still has the old account number embedded. We’ve found this can cause errors when initially registering through the Sage Intelligence License Manager.
There’s a quick fix.
Customer account number from Sage : 400XXXXXXX
Serial Number (Unlock Key) for Sage Intelligence: v99XXXXXXXX_G9WCLIG
Instead of using the 400XXXXXXX as the Account Number (which is what Sage shows in their online database as the customer number) , use the 99XXXXXXXX which is embedded in the serial number (Unlocking Key). In most cases this will work and the error disappears.
