If you’ve recently upgraded your Sage 100 to version 2013 and you notice when you create Paperless Office documents they are no longer searchable via a PDF viewer and that you cannot copy/paste text from the PDF then you may wish to load Sage 100 ERP product update 5.
According to Sage they identified a bug in their Paperless Office which meant that the PDF files created were not searchable. Additionally it was no longer possible to copy and paste text from the PDF files. This was apparently due to an issue with fonts which Sage have since resolve.
To correct this you should load Sage 100 ERP product update 5. The product update may be downloaded through Sage Advisor.
