We have been tracking this issue since earlier in the week when we noticed that Hightower Closed suddenly for an undetermined period of time and the press later reported that Hightower appeared to be in the process of winding down.

Does that mean Hightower is out of business? Their phones have been stating that their T1 is down.
Wayne Schulz says
Hi Russ – I sent a LinkedIN message to Brian Dunn (their CFO) and Jeff Roth (SWK) – neither replied to my inquiry.
While I do not have information about how this deal is structured – and because nobody involved is talking about it – I can only provide a personal opinion that based on feedback from various sources Hightower is out of business.
Our best information is that they closed on Monday 3/19/12 without much advance warning.

oh, that answers my last post
Hightower, which has been an important Sage reseller and developer, appears to rapidly moving toward an end. Company employees were asked to go home for five to 10 days, given boxes for packing personal possessions, and instructed to call for further information. The Internal Revenue Service has filed a lien against the company and reports are that its bank has pulled the plug. One report said New York-based Net@Work is reportedly going to purchase the Sage customer base. However, a blog said that SWK Technologies of Livingston, N.J., will provide support to users.
