Sage will release Sage 100 v2017 on October 20, 2017. Within that release will be a completely rewritten payroll module. This rewrite means that the payroll module is now fully compatible with the underlying Sage framework (data tables) as well as the Sage 100 Premium (SQL) platform.
Here is an advanced look at how to covert payroll from Sage 100 2017 and earlier to the new Sage 100 Payroll in version 2018.
A couple of notes:
- Minimum version required to upgrade to Sage 100 2018 is 4.50.8. If you are not already at that level you’ll need to upgrade to 4.50.8 prior to upgrading to Sage 100 v2018.
- If you use Timecard you’ll need to wait until Sage 100 2018.1 as the initial release of 2018 will not include a Timecard upgrade. Wait for Sage 100 2018.1 if you are a Timecard user.
