Is there a way to deleting postings mistakenly made to a future period in Sage 100? The answer is yes. There is a free utility included in Sage 100 which works with versions 3.71 through 2021. Although if you are using version 4.30 your process will be slightly different.
For all versions – EXCEPT 4.30
Sage 100 versions 3.71 through 2021 – EXCEPT 4.30
Before you begin: Please backup your data as the changes made by this utility are not reversible. There is no undo function. You will also need to have everyone out of Sage for the duration of the process.
- Start Sage 100
- Select File – Run and type GLWURD
Once you accept the above dialog you’ll see the following
Make sure you have a backup of your Sage data. If you are unsure how to backup you can take a full copy of your MAS_xxx where xxx = your 3 character company code.
Select the highest fiscal year to retain detail for and click delete.
Sage will purge the erroneous data and create a log file named GL_DELETE_LOG which it will place in your ..\MAS90\Launcher\ folder.
For Sage 100 Version 4.30
Use the same process as above except at the File – Run prompt type in “SYZCON” and then Run “GLWURD”
