In some cases you may want to run your Sage 100 ERP Advanced startup as an application versus a service on your server. Typically we’ve seen our customers use Sage 100 ERP Advanced as an application when running it as a service (typically with 20+ concurrent users) creates error conditions or disconnects.
The setup of Sage 100 ERP Advanced to run as an application is quite simple. It requires only that you use the Application Startup program.
The main issue will be that before the program can start a user must be logged into the server. This can cause issues if the server reboots and nobody is there to login.
Tip: Use this Microsoft utility to auto login to the server with a user account. This will be useful primarily to Sage 100 ERP Advanced (formerly Sage ERP MAS 200) users running the server component as an application.
