Several users have noted that during an upgrade of an existing Sage 100 site to Sage 100 2016 they were prompted about whether to us the classic or standard user interface.
The standard user interface is exclusive to Sage 100c 2016 and should not be an option for users who haven’t purchased a Sage 100c license.
Sage 100 Classic UI:
Sage 100 Standard UI
(Only available with Sage 100c):
In some cases during installation of Sage 100 the user clicked to install the Sage 100 Standard UI and found there was no way to revert back to the classic UI. The normal menu options which would allow a licensed Sage 100c user to swap interfaces were not present.
The workaround to fix this situation is either:
1. Run the launch32.exe program (Sage KB EntryS) , or
2. Delete the user’s Sage 100 folder from the local C:\users\user name\ , start Sage 100 again.
This appears to be an installation issue with Sage 100c and we are expecting a product update will repair it in the future.
