The user manual for the Research in Motion’s first touch screen device has just appeared online. The Blackberry Storm has yet to be priced and there’s no formal release date. Expect to see it on Verizon Wireless in the US – possibly before the Thanksgiving Holidays.

In the photo, upper left of the phone, right under the battery symbol is a file and the number 3. Do you know what it is? It's on my phone too, regardless if I have messages or not.

I have a number 1 on my Storm. It's a message I deleted that didn't quite go away. It was an E-mail message that was quite large, with photo attachments. Perhaps your 3 is something like this. I really don't like this phone. It is slow and glitchy.

was wondering what the globe icon located just below my time clock is for, how it got there, and how to remove it.

I figured how to get rid of the globe icon on my Storm home screen.
I went into my main email account, hit menu and then select ‘View Folders’. The offending Browser Push Message can be found in the folder called ‘Browser Messages’. Deleted it ~ gone.
